工作說明：

The Software Engineering Manager / Architect is responsible for creating software architecture, managing the software development process, staffing the software engineering team, and allocating software engineering resources to meet the product development timelines. This position reports to VP of Product Planning & Alliance.

Responsibilities:

-Oversee the development of Orbweb Cloud Software architecture and technology platform to accommodate the expansion of software products and features. Design and maintain Orbweb cloud platform infrastructure consistent with product requirements.

-Develop, implement, and maintain software development procedures and methodologies. Ensure the software engineering team conducts activities in accordance with established procedures.

-Develop specifications based on product planning & marketing requirements. Ensure that the software engineering team meets product design specification.

-Estimate software engineering effort required to accomplish project objectives and manage the completion of activities within the estimated time frames.

-Staff software engineering group to meet project resource requirements.

Experience and Skills:

-BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering, MS or equivalent experience preferred

-15+ years of software engineering design experience and 7+ years of project management experience in leading teams to deliver reliable software designs.

-Minimum 5+ years related experiences in server side web development in LAMP, PHP 4.x OR 5.x multi-tiered environment

-Strong Java, Python, PHP, MySQL, programming experiences

-HTML5 knowledge will be a plus

-Strong object-oriented programming skills and design pattern knowledge, with a passion for new web technologies, rapid build and release cycles are a must

-Knowledge of the Product Development Process, ?Agile Software Development mythology?, and experience in developing and implementing product development procedures

-Demonstrate experience in software project management including structuring of activities, estimation of time and costs, plan execution and risk management.

-Strong knowledge in Software Configuration Management, Test Methodologies, Software Architecture, and Quality System Management.

-Excellent skills in software configuration management and test methodologies

-Proven ability to assure quality and safety of products into commercialization

-Proven record of developing products, seeing them through successful product launches

-Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate well with non-technical personnel

-Ability to effectively manage many competing priorities and skilled software developers

-Commitment to delivering quality work on an aggressive schedule

-Self-motivated team player
